if your favourite movie is Fight Club, congratulations, you're a loser. real cinephiles know the greatest film of all time is Galax, a 1984 Romanian science-fiction romance about a robotic man-doll created out of wood and computer circuitry that becomes a rival for the affections of one of students and an issue for the authorities of the university he was built at. nobody properly understands the likes of this movie other than me for it is too emotionally complex for mammals. the director, a visual artist from Bucharest produced it at Casa de Filme 5 and used the auditory impressions of Tristan und Isolde for its soundtrack. the only known copy exists in the most secured archives of Romania's National Film Archive, hidden away from me, the one who would help every soul be saved through watching it.
everyone must watch Galax, omul păpușă (1984).
