SLAVA MARLOW - ЕЛЬФ 1 on Spotify

i love when the artists i was listening to in my edgy peer-pressured-to-listen-to-trap era grow to figure out their true selves and change their style of making music to fit it. back then, despite not understanding the language (i still don’t, but i’m working towards learning it), i’d also listen to some songs of the same genre but made by russian artists. people like моренштерн and slava marlow. both of them grew to be much better artists than before, completely moving from their origins towards something i think they feel more like themselves doing. for example, slava marlow’s new album, ЕЛЬФ 1, is an AMAZING project, a techno-electronic-hip hop combination built around the general aesthetic of the 2010s. it’s definitely one of my favourite albums of 2025, otherwise i wouldn’t be writing about it on here. i’d share a favourite song but, honestly, each time i listen to it my favourite song changes.

i even made a bootleg CD of it since i’m pretty sure slava marlow won’t make any CDs of this album or any album for that matter.
